Trevor Hall’s music is an eclectic mix of acoustic rock, reggae and Sanskrit chanting, arising from his experiences through pilgrimages in India, his life in an ashram, and musical tours while maintaining his spiritual monastic practices. His songs echo with the names and teachings of divinities, delivering a universal message through the moving temple of the stage. His technical skill is informed by training with a classical Baul musician (the mystic minstrels from West Bengal and Bangladesh), as much as formal studies in classical guitar at Idyllwild Arts Academy as a teen. His music is his practice, and he has shared it at sold-out tours with artists such as Steel Pulse, Matisyahu and The Wailers. Making appearances at Bhakti Fest in Joshua Tree and Unity Fest in Santa Fe, this year he comes to Crested Butte just days before opening for Michael Franti at Red Rocks. This solo show, “A Night in the Village” is an intimate evening of multi-media storytelling, with images of the places and tales of the muses enlightening his music’s inspiration and source. 8:00 p.m. Early Bird through 7/8: $40. Regular: $45
