Plein air is the art of painting landscapes and the outdoors from observation. In this class, taught by local artist, Megan Craver, learn composition, color theory, and the technical skills of painting. Supplies include paint, canvas panels, canvas paper, palette paper, brushes, and palette knives. Students may opt to bring their own supplies to pair with the above if you prefer. Previous drawing experience is encouraged but not required.
We will spend the majority of our time outdoors, so please bring anything you need to be comfortable – hat, sunglasses, sun screen, bug spray, camping chair. If you have a folding easel, please bring it, otherwise you may borrow one of ours.
