Founding member and famous harmonica master of the J. Geils Band, Magic Dick, and award-winning fingerstyle guitar and vocal virtuoso, Shun Ng, join forces for a powerhouse sound of soul, funk, blues and jazz. Magic Dick, known for his experimentation on the harmonica, jammed with blues legends from Muddy Waters to John Lee Hooker touring with the platinum album band, establishing their high energy sound and distinctive style of rhythm & blues and rock & roll. Born in Chicago and raised in Singapore, Shun Ng is now one of Boston’s most dynamic and innovative performers with his flamboyant technique and hypnotic groove. Boston Music Awards awarded him "International Artist of The Year" in 2015 with the Songwriters Hall of Fame granting him the prestigious “Holly Prize” in 2016. The duo first came together with their take of the James Brown classic, "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag” and have been touring ever since, performing alongside modern blues greats like Buddy Guy, Irma Thomas and Allen Toussaint. 8:00 p.m. Early Bird through 6/4: $15.
