Investigate your vision of the world while gaining experience with color principles in your particular medium. Explore the Itten theory of color with hue, value, intensity, simultaneity, proportional application and how to apply those theoretical principles to studio work. Basic tools, materials and the development of compositional applications are introduced for the unfamiliar, with experienced students receiving individualized instruction for more in-depth study. No oil paints please. Class meets Tuesdays for five weeks. Offered in partnership with Western State Colorado University’s Extended Studies Program. Instructor: Don Seastrum.
