Weekly on Tuesdays, choose from watercolor (6/19), mixed media (6/26), cyanotype (7/3), henna (7/10), oil painting (7/17), art journal (7/24), textile design (7/31), dream catchers (8/7), cyanotype photo production (7/14). Watercolor
Transparency is a unique quality of watercolor painting which makes it challenging and rewarding to create. Instructor, Tori Carpenter, leads the group through recreating a gorgeous night sky galaxy painting by Mariya Kovalyov. Tori teaches wash techniques, the use of salt, wet on wet, and wet on dry techniques while each student adds his or her own unique signature and “take” on the work to their own painting. Students leave with a finished, ready to frame watercolor. (check out the image of Kovalyov’s original painting to the left).
