Head for the Hills is anything but your traditional bluegrass band. Though often associated with the genre and certainly having some firm roots in that soil, HFTH digs into jazz, blues, rock, acoustic music, and more to create a sound that's unique and interesting. Since forming in 2004, the band has played with heavy hitters like Drew Emmitt, Aaron Youngberg, Andy Hall, James Thomas, Gabe Mervine, and more. HFTH delivers an energetic live show, bringing a "modern indie folk rock approach to bluegrass" (Daily Herald). HFTH is Adam Kinghorn on guitar and vocals, Joe Lessard on violin and vocals, Matt Loewen on upright bass and vocals, and Mike Chappell on acoustic and electric mandolins.
