Del McCoury and David Grisman celebrate nearly 50 years of bluegrass friendship. It was 1963 when Del and Dawg first met. Del was playing his first show (on Banjo) with Bill Monroe’s Blue Grass Boys at New York University and got a true taste of being in the spotlight. It was at this time that Dawg was attending NYU and immersing himself in the folk music scene. Through the years they have shared the stage at venues and festivals across the country and in 2012 released Hardcore Bluegrass, a unique collection of bluegrass classics, made at two Dawg studio jam sessions in the 1990s, Del & Dawg celebrates the nearly 50-year bluegrass friendship that these two legendary musicians have shared..
